Most people enjoy watching TV shows investigating the quality of food and drinks. Especially onlookers are interested to know the ingredients used to make the product. These TV shows give us the feeling that every product in the food stores is of low quality and rarely contain natural ingredients.
Unfortunately, statistics shows that there are still a lot of dishonest manufacturers. However, we will not generalize them. Udmurt Republic is a self sufficient region in many aspects. We, customers, trust our reliable factories, value their products and, as opinion polls show, appreciate the taste of their products most of all.
«Glazovsky» Distillery is a company that holds the product quality as top priority, and values its name and reputation. In the last 5 years the products of our distillery has won over a hundred of awards and prizes. Most of them were won in the most prestigious Russian and international exhibitions and contests. To win awards, every detail is important. The experts appreciate the taste and quality of product, designers valued the look, other specialists point out the purity of ingredients.
In my experience, the products of «Glazovsky» distillery have always won awards or medals in the contests they participated in. To prove this, I will give one of the latest examples.
«Prodekspo-2013» is the biggest exhibition of food products and alcoholic beverages in Eastern Europe. Products of «Glazovsky» Distillery was highly appreciated by the judges of the contest due to its natural ingredients and absence of any harmful additives. They awarded two (!) medals to our products. This is an outstanding situation. The contestants are may and awards are few. For one contestant to be awarded to medals - this speaks of the outstanding product. The product is valued for its quality, impeccable taste and absence of any artificial additives.
A more interesting situation happened at the international contest «Gemma 2013». This is a contest with wide representation that showed over 200 alcoholic beverages from all over the globe. Everyone involved in this contest understands that the newcomers will not be among the winners. Awards are typically granted to the well-known popular brands. New brands join this exhibition to present themselves and to establish the reputation. However «Glazovsky» Distillery managed the impossible. We did not go unappreciated.. We made a strong presentation of our products. And as a result our product was a huge success. The media reporting of the exhibition wrote in their articles: «This is a sensation», «first time in history», «the long-term residents of «Gemma» can hardly believe their eyes...». And there is a lot to wonder about: it is the first time that the winner of the 1s place medal - the golden figurine «Gemma» - was the new product, presented by «Glazovsky» Distillery. To give a better understanding, I will point out that this contest is established by the RF government quality control authorities. This means that both the organizers and the judges are well respected people. The evaluation was based on the following features: taste of the water, quality of alcohol, bottle design, etc, on the whole more than 10 parameters. The product presented by «Glazovsky» Distillery won 15 points out of 15 possible.
However, for the experts of «Glazovsky» Distillery this victory was quite expected. The main mission of the factory is being quality oriented. The practical cases show that the quality is our top priority. The buyers always emphasise that they choose our product due to its quality. The factory management points out that the perfect quality is achieved by combining the thorough analysis in production process, precision laboratory control, scientifically approved recipe, state-of-the-art equipment and application of most up-to-date technologies.
One of the main points if the use of pure alcohol of “Lux” quality. It is produced from the best quality wheat and rye harvested in the unpolluted regions of Udmurt Republic, with high tech equipment and special procedures. Specialists of «Balezinsky» grain distillery, the sole supplier of spirit for «Glazovsky» distillery, keep many aspect of their work in secret. However it is known that in the production process the alcohol purification and elimination of any toxic particles reaches its maximum degree. It is not surprising that the use of highest purification alcohol guarantees that vodka made on its basis will have a mild unique taste. The spirit quality contributes to at least half of the taste of the product.
The experts are confident that the other half of success is based in the quality of water. In this aspect «Glazovsky» Distillery is ahead of its competitors. Natalya Brezhneva, Head of the factory’s laboratory, advises that the water is treated to multi-stage purification, which allows achieving high physical-chemical and organoleptic qualities.
Dmitry Mendeleyev is quoted to say that vodka is water plus spirit. And purest water and spirit are the two basic components sufficient to making up the quality product. Add here the constant strictest control of compliance to all technological standards and norms, most up-to-date equipment and qualified personnel, internal quality standards, twice and more as strict as the current GOST state standards - and you will understand that there is no limit to perfection.
Awards of international contests, «Glazovsky» distillery being one of top 10 Russian alcoholic beverages producers, increasing production volumes - all these aspects prove that the development strategy applied by the factory management is correct and leads to success. The factory representatives told me distillery will continue developing new products and improving the quality of the current products. This means that in the nearest future we will be treated to new products.
